Project Summary

Order Group worked with AP-TECH, a leader in aviation consulting and software development, to increase operational efficiency at one of the main airports in Poland. Our goal was to upgrade the airport to CAT III B certification, making it the preferred landing site in adverse weather conditions and thus increasing air traffic and revenues.

Order Group worked with AP-TECH, a leader in aviation consulting and software development, to increase operational efficiency at one of the main airports in Poland. Our goal was to upgrade the airport to CAT III B certification, making it the preferred landing site in adverse weather conditions and thus increasing air traffic and revenues.

Solutions

Our solution, ATOS® - Airport Technologies Operational System, integrates multiple data sources, such as induction loops and transponders, to monitor and manage traffic at the airport. The system provided real-time positioning of airplanes and airport vehicles and ensured that the runways were clear for safe landing.

Details

ATOS® combined software development and IoT integration, giving a full operational overview through a custom dashboard. Air traffic controllers could manage air traffic smoothly and respond proactively to potential threats or unusual activity.

Insights

During this cooperation, we learned how much precision and reliability matter in aviation systems. The design required rigorous testing and tuning, often in the early morning hours, to meet the stringent requirements set by aviation authorities.

Results

The implementation of the ATOS® system significantly increased the airport's operational capabilities, achieving CAT III B certification. The certification improved safety and operational efficiency and made the airport a major transportation hub in Europe for flights in adverse weather, redirecting significant traffic to our client and boosting its activity.
