Onboarding is an integral part of the introduction of your employees. It seems easy to onboard a newcomer, but in practice, many companies do it ineffectively, which can be why people resign from a company as they do not feel taken care of during their first weeks of work.

Besides, do not make your employees wait for their contracts - these should be already prepared, printed out, and ready to sign. All paperwork should be completed on the first day that the person joins the company.
