On a client portal for an energy trading company, flows prepared for the Client, Seller, Trader and Back-office roles became the base for every view.](https://ordergroup.co/services/design/user-experience-ux/) ### Mockups The designer prepares low-fidelity mockups (rough layouts) and high-fidelity mockups (the finished look of each screen) for different devices and reuses the components your product already has. ### Components and design system Components and finished screens follow one set of visual rules and, where your product already has a brand, its guidelines. ### Prototype tests The Product Designer tests prototypes for usability and accessibility, including contrast and color blindness checks, before development starts. BizBot, Filmgrail and an energy trading portal ## Design systems we build ### BizBot BizBot got a design system for building later modules of its platform, with 50+ graphic elements. Workshops and hackathons in Warsaw, Oslo and Istanbul fed knowledge of Norwegian business processes into the interface. ### Filmgrail Filmgrail, a white-label platform for cinemas, started a rebranding with us in 2020: a new identity and logo and a redesign of all modules and components. ### Energy trading portal For the client portal of an energy trading company, the designers set typography, color, grid and layout, and the design system got a technical check before the build began. For a merchandise sales app used at live events, we designed MVP views for a sales dashboard, statistics, label printing, a live view of stock during the event, event setup and the remaining views of the main flow. At PSONI, design was the main part of the Discovery phase, followed by a review of the existing code from a design perspective. ![Product design - mockupy aplikacji (kadr 1.52)](https://ordergroup.co/media/images/856_2041x1344.trim.format-webp.width-2880.webp) ## Accessibility in UI Visual Designers keep interfaces consistent with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and Product Designers test prototypes for accessibility. Contrast and color blindness simulations run in Stark, a Figma plugin. Quick WCAG checks run in the browser with WAVE and axe DevTools. ## Handoff to developers Developers receive complete design documentation, and the designers help them understand the logic and intent of the project. Once implementation starts, the Visual Designer reviews the result for pixel-perfect accuracy (each element matches the approved design) and for WCAG. UX decides how a product works: research, information architecture and the logic of the application. UI gives those flows their look through components, final screens and design systems. Yes. For Filmgrail the interface had to stay in the background and take on the colors of each client, so we designed several visual variants. The same codebase serves large cinema chains and single cinemas. ### Can you check the accessibility of a product that already exists? Yes, with our [Accessibility Audit](https://ordergroup.co/services/design/accessibility-audit-services/) service. In new UI work, prototypes are tested against [WCAG](https://ordergroup.co/glossary/wcag-2-2/), and the implementation is reviewed against it. ### Is the first consultation free? Yes, and so is a basic discovery: one meeting with a basic mockup or proof of concept that lets us estimate the work. The number of screens, user roles and modules, whether we build a design system or extend an existing one, and whether the product needs white-label variants.
