## Summary

Our guest in this episode of our series Everything in Order is [Karol Oponowicz](https://ordergroup.co/experts/karol-oponowicz/), co-founder of Order Group (then also CEO of [zeronest](https://www.zeronest.energy/)). We talk about why planning and workshops matter in software projects. Karol shares his experiences from a workshop at [Skyfri](https://ordergroup.co/case-studies/skyfri-solar-asset-management-platform/) and explains why it helps to bring different people together in one place to agree on mission, vision and strategy.

We discuss how effective planning sessions, from large meetings to smaller group workshops, help teams clear their project backlog and support integration through social activities. Karol points out that these workshops help with strategic alignment and with team bonding, which in turn increases work efficiency.

We also discuss the discovery process of turning an idea into a product, navigating the emotions of curiosity, challenge, and pressure to deliver.

Let's work together and shape the future
